Cookie Policy

This website uses cookies. When you visit our website, an information exchange occurs between you and us. We collect data that your device or browser transmits to us. Also, our website sends cookies to you.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files with information, which are stored on your access device, and they intend to make your browsing experience more user friendly, more effective and safer. Without cookies, your device and browser does not have and cannot retain a memory of websites you have visited or what are your preferences – there is no reusable record of who you are and what you did or what you like.

Without this memory, we cannot log you in automatically when you visit our website, for example. Also, we cannot show you the right language settings because we do not know where you are coming from. These are some of the reasons why we use cookies – in order to let you have an uninterrupted great experience when you use the website.

What kinds of cookies exist?

A cookie can be classified by its lifespan, the domain to which it belongs and by its function. Please note that we do not use all types of cookies described in the list below.

By lifespan, a cookie is either a:

  • Session cookie, which is erased when the user closes the browser. They allow website operators to link your actions during a single browser session, for you to use the website most efficiently. These cookies are not usually stored beyond the browser session.

  • Persistent cookie, which remains on the user’s computer or mobile device for a pre-defined period of time. They enable the website to "recognise" you on your return, to remember your preferences and to tailor services to them. The may also be used to track your browsing activity across different websites and to build up a detailed profile of your browsing behaviour for targeted advertising.

As for domain to which it belongs, there are either:

  • First-party cookies, which are planted by the web server of the visited page and share the same domain. This involves assigning a unique identity to the user by setting the cookies to either the user's browser and/or their hard drive with a view to track the user's journey on the website. First-party cookies are commonly used by website operators for session management, personalisation and recognition purposes. This means the information transmitted by the cookie is later combined with the personal information the internet user has supplied to the provider in the course of a sale or other contact. In these cases, your cookie is retrieved each time you visit the site which planted it, making it unnecessary to re-enter registration data on each visit.

  • Third-party cookies are cookies planted by parties other than the owner of the website you visit. (example when the webpage references a file, such as JavaScript, located outside its domain).

By its function:

  • Essential cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of a website. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of a website, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.

  • Analytical/performance cookies. These types of cookies allow providers to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around their website when they are using it. They assist providers in improving the way their website works, for example, to help users find what they are looking for easily.

  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to a website. They enable the personalisation of content and the recognition of you and your preferences (for example, their choice of language or region).

  • Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to a website, the individual pages visited and the links followed. If the cookie is set by a third party (for example, an advertising network) which also monitors traffic on other websites, this type of cookie may also be used to track a user's movements across different websites and to create profiles of their general online behaviour. Information collected by targeting cookies is commonly used to serve users with targeted online advertising.

Which cookies are covered by your consent?

When a cookie is solely for marketing purposes, we require your consent in line with Art. 6 (1) a. GDPR, before such a cookie can be activated.

To understand which cookies are covered by your consent here is a list of the marketing cookies we are using and what they are doing for us:

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics tool offered by Google LLC, Mountain View, CA, USA (“Google“). This analysis service uses cookies. For analysis, text files will be stored on your device. The information stored in the corresponding files about the use of this website are generally transmitted and stored on a Google server in the USA.

As the IP anonymisation is active on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union (EU). This information will be used to evaluate your use of the services offered here and enable the operator of this website to analyze your website activity and provide other services associated with the website service. The IP address transmitted from your browser, as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Adjusting the settings of your browser software can prevent the use of cookies. In this case, it may be possible that the functions of the service offered here cannot be used in its entirety. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the acquisition and processing of data generated by the “cookies” in relation to the use of this website, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

We also use Google Analytics to analyse data of Google Ads for statistical purposes OPT-OUT: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de

Google Ads

We use Google Ads from Google for advertising purposes on our website, which serves as an analysis service for forwarding and/or visiting websites (“conversion tracking”). If you have reached our website via an ad from Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These conversion tracking cookies are valid for 30 days. If you visit certain sub-pages of our website while the cookie has not expired, we and Google may recognize that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads on Google and have been redirected to our website.

The information collected through conversion tracking cookies is used by Google to compile statistics on visits to our website. These statistics allow us to know the total number of visitors who have clicked on our ad and also to see which sub-pages of our website have been called up afterwards. However, we do not receive any personally identifiable information from Google through this feature. Insofar as the IP address is processed, the data is processed on the legal basis Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR, whereby our legitimate interests (or the legitimate interests of third parties commissioned by us) of quality assurance or statistical analysis of user behaviour are pursued.

OPT-OUT: You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser accordingly, for example by setting your browser to deactivate the automatic setting of cookies generally or specifically only block cookies from the "googleadservices.com" domain.

Which cookies can we use without your consent?

The usage of cookies which ensure the functionality and security of our website is justified in accordance with Art. 6 (1) f. GDPR, which is why your explicit consent for using those cookies is not necessary. That is because for the usage of cookies that ensure the functionality and security of our products we can assume that it is also in your interest that our website is protected against attacks, breakdowns or damages, that could impair the confidentiality of your data.

How to control/manage cookies

You can control and manage cookies in various ways. Most third-party cookies can be blocked by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our website. Some people prefer not to allow cookies, which is why most browsers give you the ability to manage cookies to suit you.

You have the right to revoke your consent to use marketing cookies at any time. If you do so, we will not process your data for marketing purposes anymore. You can always send an email to us at hello@talentdiverse.com.
